Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final March 7, 2017 <br />Vice Chairman O'Bryan reviewed Steven Paul Duerringer's application and resume, <br />and brought up that he has only been a resident in the area for a short time. He <br />suggested that the position remain open to see if additional applicants would apply. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Commissioner Solari, to <br />postpone appointment of an applicant for the Affordable Housing Advisory <br />Committee. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />133 17-0218 Public Meeting for Transmission Line Routes <br />Recommended Action: The County Attorney's Office recommends that the Board vote to decide whether to <br />require FPL to conduct the public informational meeting. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />FPL Ltr Re Overhead 230 kV Transmission Line <br />FPL Transmission Line Plan <br />FPL Solar Location Map <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold discussed a letter submitted by Knight, McGuire <br />and Associates, Inc. regarding Florida Power and Light's (FPL) proposed 230 <br />kilovolt (kV) transmission line and pointed out that the County had the right to <br />request that FPL hold a Public Informational Meeting. <br />Commissioner Solari felt that because the location of the transmission line was so far <br />west and a significant distance from any nearby residence, an informational meeting <br />would not be necessary. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Solari, seconded by Commissioner Zorc, to not <br />require FPL to conduct the optional Public Informational Meeting. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />13.0 17-0217 Second Amended and Restated Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program <br />Interlocal Agreement <br />Recommended Action: The County Attorney's Office recommends that the Board vote to approve the <br />Second Amended and Restated Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program <br />Interlocal Agreement. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Second Amended and Restated Indian River Lagoon National Estuary <br />Program Interlocal Agreement <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold addressed the Board, and recommended approval <br />of the Second Amended and Restated Indian River Lagoon National Estuary <br />Indian River County Florida Page 15 <br />
