RESOLUTION NO. 2017- Q48 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A FY 2017 <br /> GRANT APPLICATION FOR 49 USC CH. 53, SECTION 5307 MASS <br /> TRANSIT CAPITAL AND OPERATING ASSISTANCE. <br /> WHEREAS,the Federal Transit Administration(FTA)is authorized to award Section 5307 <br /> grant funds for the implementation of a mass transportation program of projects; <br /> WHEREAS,Indian River County and the Indian River County Senior Resource Association <br /> utilize FTA Section 5307 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 funds, Indian River County and the Indian <br /> River County Senior Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations and <br /> requirements associated with the Section 5307 program. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br /> 1. That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to file applications <br /> on behalf of Indian River County with the U.S.Department of Transportation to finance and <br /> implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the County's FY 2017 <br /> grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br /> 2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners,the County <br /> Attorney, and/or Community Development Director are authorized to execute, and the <br /> Community Development Director is authorized to file with such application,an assurance or <br /> any other document required by the U.S. Department of Transportation effectuating the <br /> purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br /> 3. That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to execute grant <br /> agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and implement the <br /> program of projects specified in the County's FY 2017 grant application under 49 USC <br /> Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br /> 4. That the County Administrator is authorized to set forth and execute necessary <br /> Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in connection with such application as <br /> specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in accordance with the federal requirements <br /> of 49 CFR Part 26. <br /> 5. That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to furnish such <br /> additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require in connection <br /> with the County's FY 2017 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br /> THIS RESOLUTION was moved for adoption by comissioner Sc)i ari , and the <br /> F\Community Development\Users\MPO\Transit\Grants\5307\2017\bcc resolution.docx Page 1 of 2 <br />
