Brown, County Administrator <br />From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services <br />Prepared By: Arjuna Weragoda, P.E., Capital Projects Manager <br />Subject: Final Pay and Release of Retainage to E&D Contracting Services, Inc., to Rehabilitate the <br />Headworks at Central Wastewater Treatment Plant — UC,P #4111, Bid No. 2016023 <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />On March 22, 2016, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) awarded the contract for <br />the Headworks Restoration for the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant to E&D Contracting Services at a cost <br />of $350,656.00. The Certificate of Substantial Completion was issued on January 31, 2017. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />E&D Contracting Services has completed the restoration of the headworks at the Central Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant successfully and under budget, and is requesting a final payment and release of retainage. To <br />date, E&D Contracting Services has been paid $289,423.20. Payment in the amount of $33,232.80, including <br />release of retainage, will complete the County's obligation to the contractor. The project came in $28,000.00 <br />under budget. <br />FUNDING: <br />Funds for this project are derived from the capital budget in the operating fund.
