Brown, County Administrator <br />From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services�Q <br />Prepared By: Arjuna Weragoda, P.E., Capital Projects Manager 4u) <br />Dim <br />Subject: Work Order No. 3 with MBV Engineering, Inc. for the South County Waste Water <br />Treatment Facility FDEP operating permit renewal. <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />The South County Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), located at 600 Highland Drive SW, is <br />currently operating under a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) operating <br />permit (FLA010435) that is set to expire on April 23, 2017. According to Rule 62-620.335 of the <br />Florida Administrative Code, all wastewater treatment facilities must submit a renewal application <br />to the FDEP 180 days prior to permit expiration. Thus FDEP must receive this application prior to <br />October 25, 2016. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />In order to meet the FDEP deadline and for staff to review the application package prior to <br />submittal, MBV Engineering, Inc. (MBV) was asked to provide a scope of work to assist in the <br />renewal application package. The work order is provided in accordance with the Extension and <br />Amendment of the Continuing Services Contract Agreement for Professional Services with MBV <br />Engineers, Inc., dated November 4, 2014. The scope is more specifically described in the attached <br />Work Order No. 3, which is broken into five (5) tasks for a lump sum fee total of $20,750.00. MBV <br />was the engineer that assisted the County in the last FDEP permit renewal at the South County <br />WWTF for the same fee. <br />FUNDING: <br />Funding for the Professional Service Work Authorization is budgeted and available in the Other <br />Professional Services account operating fund.
