In accordance with County Code Section 100.080, the Board passed Resolution No. 2016-117 to <br />have the lien filed against the respective properties for the costs incurred by the County in <br />demolishing the unsafe structures. Notice of the proposed demolition lien was mailed to the <br />parties in interest, and, pursuant to our code, each party in interest may now appear before the <br />Board and be heard as to the amount of the proposed demolition lien. <br />Attached is the lien for each property that, if approved by the Board, will be recorded in the <br />public records against the property. Also attached is the itemization of costs for each demolition. <br />FUNDING: <br />Costs associated with this item are recording fees for recording the lien in the public records at a <br />cost of $30.00. Funds for this expenditure are available in the MSTU Fund/Road & <br />Bridge/Other Contractual Services, Account No. 00421441-033490. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The County Attorney's Office .recommends the Chairman allow each party in interest for the <br />property to address the Commission and be heard on the amount of the proposed lien concerning <br />the property.
