INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Jason E. Brown, County Administrator <br />FROM: Richard B. Szpyrka, P.E., Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Moorings Landscape Maintenance Commitment <br />DATE: April 28, 2017 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On March 19, 2013 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2013-019 <br />Authorizing the Execution of a FDOT District Four Landscape Maintenance Memorandum of <br />Agreement for landscaping along SRA1A within The Moorings Corridor. <br />The Moorings Property Owners Association (MPGA) desires to install additional landscaping, at <br />the Moorings expense, within the SRA1A corridor established in Resolution 2013-019. The plans <br />and documents for this effort will conform to FDOT standards and specifications and the <br />installation will adhere to FDOT safety regulations. <br />The MPOA has been working with FDOTto obtain a permit to install additional landscaping with <br />the corridor. FDOT has requested the MPOA provide a revised Commitment of Landscape <br />Maintenance Agreement to include the additional landscaping. <br />The Moorings Property Owners Association (MPGA) intends to supply all landscaping material <br />and perform all installation and maintenance associated with the additional landscaping they <br />wish to install. The MPOA will enter into a revised Commitment of Landscape Maintenance <br />within Indian River County, which will obligate the MPOA to continued, on-going maintenance <br />of all the landscaping they install. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is not required for this action. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the Amended Commitment of Landscape Maintenance Agreement and <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute the Agreement. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Revised Commitment of Landscaping Maintenance <br />Proposed Landscaping Plan <br />DISTRIBUTION <br />Clint Black, Moorings Property Owners Association President <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM <br />FOR May 16, 2017 <br />C:\Users\GRANIC-1\AppData\Local\Temp\BCL Technologies\easyPDF 7\@BCL n 1405A448\nBCLa 1405A448.doc <br />P23 <br />
