RESOLUTION NO. 2017- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A FY 2017 <br />GRANT APPLICATION FOR 49 USC CH. 53, SECTION 5307 MASS <br />TRANSIT CAPITAL AND OPERATING ASSISTANCE. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section 5307 <br />grant funds for the implementation of a mass transportation program of projects; <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Indian River County Senior Resource Association <br />utilize FTA Section 5307 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 funds, Indian River County and the Indian <br />River County Senior Resource Association will comply with all applicable federal regulations and <br />requirements associated with the Section 5307 program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to file applications <br />on behalf of Indian River County with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and <br />implement the capital and operating program of projects specified in the County's FY 2017 <br />grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br />2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County <br />Attorney, and/or Community Development Director are authorized to execute, and the <br />Community Development Director is authorized to file with such application, an assurance or <br />any other document required by the U.S. Department of Transportation effectuating the <br />purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br />3. That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to execute grant <br />agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and implement the <br />program of projects specified in the County's FY 2017 grant application under 49 USC <br />Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br />4. That the County Administrator is authorized to set forth and execute necessary <br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in connection with such application as <br />specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in accordance with the federal requirements <br />of 49 CFR Part 26. <br />That the Community Development Director or his designee is authorized to furnish such <br />additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require in connection <br />with the County's FY 2017 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br />THIS RESOLUTION was moved for adoption by , and the <br />C:\Users\GRANIC-1\AppData\Loca1\Temp\BCL Techno1ogies\easyPDF7\@BCL@D805FD4B\@BCL@D805FD4B.docx Page I of 2 <br />P67 <br />
