Brown, County Administrator <br />Michael Smykowski, Director, Office of Management and Budget <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Declaration of Excess Equipment as Surplus for Sale or Disposal <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. <br />As authorized by the Board, the items will either be held in storage until the next scheduled <br />auction or sold by online auction. The funds received from the sale of these items will be <br />returned to the appropriate accounts. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board declare the items on the attached Excess Equipment List as <br />surplus and authorize their sale and/or disposal as indicated.
