Ennis, P.E., PMP, County Engineer <br />SUBJECT: FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) Supplemental Agreement No. 1 <br />and Resolution Authorizing the Chairman's Signature <br />81h Street Sidewalk Improvements (58th Avenue to 21St Court) <br />DATE: May 5, 2017 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 21, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Local Agency Program (LAP) <br />Agreement FM No. 431733-1-58 / 68-01 with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) <br />for the construction of a 5 -foot wide concrete sidewalk and minor drainage modifications along <br />the north side of 8th Street from 58th Avenue to 21St Court, a length of approximately 2.5 miles. <br />The LAP Grant will provide up to $455,243.00 reimbursement of the eligible construction cost <br />which includes construction engineering inspection (CEI) services. <br />On November 8, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners awarded Bid No. 2017009 for this <br />project to Timothy Rose Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $575,858.97. The FDOT has <br />requested Indian River County execute and deliver to the FDOT LAP Supplemental Agreement <br />No. 1 to increase the agreement amount by $95,000 for construction costs to $550,243.00, as well <br />as a Resolution authorizing the Board of County Commissioners to execute this LAP <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 1. <br />FUNDING <br />The federal funds appropriated for this FDOT LAP grant will be in the amount of $501,467.00 for <br />construction and $48,776.00 for construction engineering inspection (CEI) services totaling <br />$550,243.00. Funding is budgeted and available from Optional Sales Tax Account No. <br />31521441-066510-13006, 8th Street Sidewalk (58th Avenue to 21s' Court).
