Board of County Commissioners <br />Meeting Minutes - Final June 13, 2017 <br />Recommended Action: Authorization to combine two polling sites and relocate these precincts to the <br />Intergenerational Recreation Center and Board approval to upgrade the ten <br />remaining EViD "All -in -One" electronic polls books to the new EViD "Compact" <br />units <br />Attachments: Letter dated June 2, 2017 <br />Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan thanked the Board for the approval of the new <br />voting system, noting that it arrived three weeks ago. She added that the new <br />system has been installed, and both hardware and software training have been <br />completed. <br />Ms. Swan sought approval to combine Precinct 28 Vero Beach Highlands Property <br />Owners' Association, and Precinct 29 Morningstar Presbyterian Church and <br />relocate them to the Intergenerational Recreation Center, noting that there would be <br />a Go -Line stop at this location, for added convenience. She also informed the <br />Board that Precinct 18 would be relocated from St. Edward's School to Holy Cross <br />Catholic Church. New voter information cards will be mailed to all voters in the <br />precincts mentioned, to notify them of their poll relocation. <br />Additionally, Ms. Swan requested approval to upgrade the ten remaining EViD <br />"All -In -One" electronic poll books to the new EViD "Compact" units, resulting in <br />uniformity of all 124 electronic poll books. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, to <br />combine two polling sites, Precinct 28 Vero Beach Highlands Property Owners' <br />Association, and Precinct 29 Morningstar Presbyterian Church, and relocate these <br />precincts to the Intergenerational Recreation Center. The motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Adams, seconded by Commissioner Zorc, to <br />upgrade the ten remaining EViD "All -in -One" electronic polls books to the new EViD <br />"Compact" units. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />10. PUBLIC ITEMS <br />A.
