LANDSCAPE REGULATION CHANGES <br />• Revised in 2010 with input from developer, <br />landscape contractor, environmental groups: <br />added flexibility <br />• Based on recent input changes are proposed <br />to Chapter 926 and 934 to: <br />— Reduce understory tree height at planting from <br />6' to 5' in buffer preserves <br />— Establish flexible planting standards for littoral <br />zone trees and codify practice of using littoral <br />zones to provide required irregular pond bank <br />contours <br />2. TEMPORARY SUSPENSIONS <br />• Intended for projects all complete except <br />for non -safety, minor deficiencies <br />• Problem identified by staff: long and <br />complicated punch lists; non -minor items; <br />inordinate amount of time to resolve <br />• Impacts Public Works and Utilities; also <br />Applicants; Planning/Code Enforcement, <br />Attorney's office <br />PI'7It-)" -2 <br />
