C. 6.20.17 <br />Ofce of <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold, County Attorney <br />DATE: June 12, 2017 <br />ATTORNEY <br />SUBJECT: Memorandum of Agreement with Florida Department of Children and Families for Limited <br />County Access to FLORIDA System Data. <br />BACKGROUND. <br />The Florida Department of Children and Families ("DCF") maintains certain information in the Florida <br />Online Recipient Integrated Data Access ("Florida") System regarding applicants for and recipients of <br />Medicaid services. There may be times that Indian River County staff may need to have access to the <br />FLORIDA System data. In order to have such access, DCF will require Indian River County to execute <br />the attached Memorandum of Agreement for Limited County Access to FLORIDA System Data (the <br />"MOA"). Under the MOA, the County employees who have access to the information will need to <br />comply with certain security and confidentiality protocols. <br />FUNDING. <br />There is no funding associated with this matter. <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />The County Attorney's Office recommends that the Board vote to approve the Memorandum of <br />Agreement for Limited County Access to FLORIDA System Data with the Florida Department of <br />Children and Families and authorize the Chair to execute the Memorandum of Agreement for Limited <br />County Access to FLORIDA System Data. <br />ATTACHMENT(S). <br />Proposed Memorandum of Agreement for Limited County Access to FLORIDA System Data <br />F-141.. yWnda1GEWSPULIB C CNg—&)4,-1F1.,fd.
