BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />3120170052549 <br />RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF <br />JEFFREY R SMITH, CLERK OF COURT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FL <br />BK: 3054 PG: 1944 Page 1 of 1 9/14/2017 3:21 PM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY ORDER 2017-004 <br />WHEREAS, on September 4, 2017, Governor Rick Scott, Governor of the State of Florida, <br />issued Executive Order Number 17-235, declaring that a state of emergency exists in all or a portion of <br />the State of Florida (including Indian River County) by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 7th, 2017, and again on September 14th, 2017, I, in my official <br />capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District Director, and <br />acting pursuant to. section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River, and Resolution 2016-120 of the <br />Board of County Commissioners, declared that a local state of emergency exists in all of Indian River <br />County, Florida, by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, by reason of such declarations of a state of emergency, and pursuant to the <br />authority granted in me in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency <br />Services District Director, I am authorized to enter emergency orders necessary to ensure the health, <br />safety and welfare of the residents of Indian River County, including, without limitation, those orders <br />authorized in chapter 252, Florida Statutes, and chapter 101 of the Code of Indian River County, and <br />other applicable law; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, this Emergency Order is issued declaring that a local State of <br />Emergency continues to exist for Indian River County. <br />THIS EMERGENCY ORDER shall be in effect throughout Indian River County from 1:00 <br />p.m. on September 14th, 2017 until 1:00 p.m. on September 21St, 2017, or until further order. <br />DONE AND ORDERED this 14th day of Septembe 2017. <br />Jason E.
