BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />3120170052498 <br />RECORDED IN THE PUBUC RECORDS OF <br />JEFFREY R SMITH, CLERK OF COURT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FL <br />BK: 3054 PG: 1719 Page 1 of 1 9/142017 2:49 PM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY ORDER 2017-003 <br />WHEREAS, on September 4, 2017, Governor Rick Scott, Governor of the State of Florida, issued <br />Executive Order Number 17-235, declaring that a state of emergency exists in all or a portion of the State of <br />Florida (including Indian River County) by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 7, 2017, I, in my official capacity as County Administrator and Indian River <br />County Emergency Services Director, and acting pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River, and <br />Resolution 2016-120 of the Board of County Commissioners, declared that a local state of emergency exists in <br />all of Indian River County, Florida, by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 9, 2017 Emergency Order 2017-002 was issued declaring a mandatory <br />evacuation of the barrier island, mobile/manufactured home parks, low lying areas, substandard housing and <br />properties east of U.S. Highway 1; and <br />WHEREAS, by reason of such declarations of a state of emergency, and pursuant to the authority <br />granted in me in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District <br />Director, I am authorized to enter emergency orders necessary to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents of Indian River County, including, without limitation, those orders authorized in chapter 252, Florida <br />Statutes, and chapter 101 of the Code of Indian River County, and other applicable law; and <br />WHEREAS, conditions are such that the evacuation order can be lifted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />EMERGENCY ORDER 2017-002 is hereby rescinded as to the mandatory evacuation of the barrier <br />island, mobile/manufactured home parks, low lying areas and substandard housing. <br />DONE AND ORDERED at 12:00 p.m. on this 1 1th day of September, 20 7. <br />Jason E.
