Board of County Commissioners <br />Meeting Minutes - Final June 20, 2017 <br />Vice Chairman O'Bryan noted that this Item, as well as Item 8.J., dealt with the <br />sealed bid sales of property that the County has purchased along 26th Street for <br />future widening. He made mention that there had been some concern expressed <br />about the needs of 26th Street, and wished to clarify that the County had been <br />accumulating right-of-ways for the project for some time. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, to <br />approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />8.J. 17-0646 Approval of Sealed Bid Sale of 2605 52nd Avenue - Bid 2017058 <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners ratify and accept the <br />high bid of $71,100.00 submitted by the Carlson Family LLC and Michael Peters. <br />Staff further recommends the Board approve the Agreement to Purchase and Sell <br />Real Estate and authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement. Finally, staff <br />recommends the Board authorize the County Attorney's staff to prepare and execute <br />any other necessary documents to complete the sale. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Agreement <br />(Clerk's Note: This Item was heard in conjunction with Item 8.1.) <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, to <br />approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />8.K. 17-0654 Property Damage Release Concerning Intergenerational Center for Ocean <br />Doors and Windows, Inc. <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve the release and authorize the Chairman to <br />execute the release on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Property Damage Release <br />Approved the Property Damage Release concerning the Intergenerational Center for <br />Ocean Doors and Windows, Inc. and Arch Insurance from only the damages <br />sustained in October 2016 from Hurricane Matthew. <br />9.
