SMITH, CLERK OF CIRCUIT COURT INDIAN RIVER CO FL <br />BK: 3056 PG: 2004,9/21/2017 11:28 AM <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY ORDER 2017-005 <br />WHEREAS, on September 4, 2017, Governor Rick Scott, Governor of the State of Florida, <br />issued Executive Order Number 17-235, declaring that a state of emergency exists in all or a portion of <br />the State of Florida (including Indian River County) by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 7th, 2017, September 14th, and again on September 21", 2017, I, in <br />my official capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District <br />Director, and acting pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River, and Resolution 2016- <br />120 of the Board of County Commissioners, declared that a local state of emergency exists in all of <br />Indian River County, Florida, by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, by reason of such declarations of a state of emergency, and pursuant to the <br />authority granted in me in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency <br />Services District Director, I am authorized to enter emergency orders necessary to ensure the health, <br />safety and welfare of the residents of Indian River County, including, without limitation, those orders <br />authorized in chapter 252, Florida Statutes, and chapter 101 of the Code of Indian River County, and <br />other applicable law; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, this Emergency Order is issued declaring that a local State of <br />Emergency continues to exist for Indian River County. <br />THIS EMERGENCY ORDER shall be in effect throughout Indian River County from 1:00 <br />p.m. on September 21", 2017 until 1:00 p.m. on September 28th, 2017, or until further order. <br />DONE AND ORDERED this 21St day of September, 2017. <br />STATE OF FLORIDA <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY _ <br />THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THIS IS A TRUE AND CORRECT Jason E. ro river <br />ian River County Administrator <br />COPY OF THE ORIGINAL ON FILE IN THIS OFFICE.
