SMITH, CLERK OF CIRCUIT COURT INDIAN RIVER CO FL <br />BK: 3058 PG: 1354,9/28/201711:57 AM <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />0 G�2 <br />ORI�� <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY ORDER 2017-006 <br />WHEREAS, on September 4, 2017, Governor Rick Scott, Governor of the State of Florida, <br />issued Executive Order Number 17-235, declaring that a state of emergency exists in all or a portion of <br />the State of Florida (including Indian River County) by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 7`n, 2017, September 14`h, September 21', and again on September <br />28`n, 2017, I, in my official capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency <br />Services District Director, and acting pursuant to section 101.10(1) of the Code of Indian River, and <br />Resolution 2016-120 of the Board of County Commissioners, declared that a local state of emergency <br />exists in all of Indian River County, Florida, by reason of Hurricane Irma; and <br />WHEREAS, by reason of such declarations of a state of emergency, and pursuant to the <br />authority granted in me in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency <br />Services District Director, I am authorized to enter emergency orders necessary to ensure the health, <br />safety and welfare of the residents of Indian River County, including, without limitation, those orders <br />authorized in chapter 252, Florida Statutes, and chapter 101 of the Code of Indian River County, and <br />other applicable law; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, this Emergency Order is issued declaring that a local State of <br />Emergency continues to exist for Indian River County. <br />THIS EMERGENCY ORDER shall be in effect throughout Indian River County from 1:00 <br />p.m. on September 28"', 2017 until 1:00 p.m. on October 5`n, 2017, or until further order. <br />DONE AND ORDERED this 28`n day of Septembe <br />CE r° T�AT THIS IS A TRUE AND CORRECT <br />G' ;A'_ ON F;LE IN T H S CFNCE.
