BK: 3063 PG: 2214 WHEREAS, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District Director, I determined that, by reason of Hurricane Jima, that a local state of emergency existed and continued in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 1:00 p.m., on the 5th day of October, 2017; and WHEREAS, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District Director, I determined that, by reason of Hurricane Irma, that a local state of emergency existed and continued in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 1:00 p.m., on the 12th day of October, 2017; and WHEREAS, as of October 19th, 2017, Indian River County is still suffering the effects of Hurricane Irma, which continue to pose a threat to the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Indian River County; NOW,THEREFORE, in my capacity as County Administrator and Indian River County Emergency Services District Director, I hereby (1) determine that, by reason of Hurricane Irma, the threat of a natural disaster has occurred, requiring immediate and expeditious action, and (2) declare that a local state of emergency exists and continues in all of Indian River County, Florida, effective as of 1:00 p.m., on October 19th, 2017.
