We will expand two
existing projects: our tuition-free, after-school lagoon science education program for 5th graders that includes five
Title 1 schools; and expand a summer outdoor lagoon adventure program for at-risk 6th-- 12th graders drawn from
across the county to provide programs in school breaks and weekends. At the same time, we will invite parents and
teachers to workshops to experience outdoor leadership training, complementing the student programs and setting
an example for their children. We are engaging a large, more diverse audience, more teachers and Audubon
members and will reach beyond to new families and adults across Indian River County.
