Gray, Jr. <br />Coastal Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Release of Retainage - Work Order No. 3 Morgan & Eklund, Inc. <br />2017 Beach Profile Monitoring Surveys (SUMMER) <br />DATE: August 30, 2017 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On October 4, 2016, the Board approved a contract with Morgan and Eklund, Inc. (M&E) for <br />Professional Land Surveying and Mapping Services for a two-year term. The Board amended the <br />Contract on October 18, 2016. M&E is the selected County Consultant for professional <br />onshore/offshore hydrographic surveying services. <br />On June 13, 2017, the Board approved Work Order No. 3 to this contract for services related to <br />semiannual hydrographic surveying (beach profile) for the countywide shoreline monitoring <br />program. Specifically, Work Order No. 3 was for summer 2017 beach profile surveys in the <br />amount of $55,000 and included 3 separate tasks and 3 separate project accounts. <br />To date all tasks are 100% complete. The total amount of retainage withheld under Work Order <br />No. 3, over 3 separate accounts, is $5,500. <br />Task 1: Summer 2017 Sector 3 Beach and Dune Restoration Project Post Construction Monitoring <br />Survey (R -20-R-60) <br />Task 1 totaled $22,550. The total amount of retainage withheld is $2,255. <br />Task 2: Summer 2017 Sector 7 Post Construction Monitoring (R -97-R-108) <br />Task 2 totaled $6,600. The total amount of retainage withheld is $660. <br />Task 3: Summer 2017 Countywide Beach Monitoring (R-61 — R-96 and R -109-R-119) <br />Task 3 totaled $25,850.
