Indian River County Library System <br />Annual Plan of Service FY 2017/2018 <br />September 10, 2017 <br />Included in the budget is our required format for our current year's "Goals <br />and Objectives." Since the "Goals and Objectives" are part of our budgets, <br />they are approved by the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners. Minutes from that meeting will be sent separately. <br />The Gifford Youth Achievement Center Library's budget is included with <br />the Main Library budget and is also approved. <br />GOALS: <br />• Provide quality library services (including online resources and <br />Internet access) to all county residents <br />• Provide comprehensive collections to support the three major <br />roles of the library <br />• Provide basic collections to support the three secondary roles <br />of the library <br />• Provide qualified staff to serve the public with their <br />informational needs <br />• Provide technology training for the public (including e - <br />resources, virtual reality, 3-d printing, and any other <br />technological advances) <br />• Provide recreational, educational, informational, and cultural <br />programming for all ages <br />OBJECTIVES: <br />• Purchase informational, educational, cultural, and <br />recreational materials, which present all sides of issues <br />in all available formats for all age groups, including <br />online <br />1 <br />P263 <br />
