After <br />the devastation of Hurricane Katrina to the New <br />Orleans Metro Area, Mr, Mills spent six (6) years <br />working as an engineer helping federal, state and <br />local municipalities rebuild the damaged and aging <br />Infrastructure. In addition, Mr. Mills' project <br />experience ranges from sports complexes for the <br />Federation Internationale de Football Association <br />(FIFA) to roadway reconstruction projects for the <br />Louisiana State Highway Department to flood <br />control projects for the Army Corps of Engineers. <br />Mr. Mills is well versed in storm water design using <br />St. Johns Water Management Districts codes as well <br />as civil/site planning using Indian River County <br />Land Development Ordinances. <br />Mr. Mills' technical specialties include site layout <br />and design, stormwater design, sanitary sewer and <br />water distribution design and permitting for simple <br />and complex commercial land development <br />projects. <br />Project History <br />FIFA Sports Complex, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands I <br />(Federation Internationale de Football Association <br />(8/2013- 9/2014) <br />The FIFA Sports complex is located in St. Croix, U.S. <br />Virgin Islands. The project includes two (2) FIFA <br />regulation soccer fields, locker rooms. VIP rooms, <br />pressroom, ticket booth, gift shop, medical room, <br />1,200 square foot office building, required parking lot, <br />underground utility infrastructure, generator building, <br />grandstand seating for 2,000 attendance and 24 room <br />dormitory. My responsibilities include conceptual <br />planning for the civil site aspects of the project, <br />preparation of grading and paving plans, parking lot <br />design in accordance with the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, water distribution <br />design, design of sanitary sewer systems and <br />stormwater design. <br />Xavier University Qatar Pharmacy Pavilion, New Orleans, <br />Louisiana I (Xavier University (2007-2011) <br />This project consisted of the design for the Xavier <br />University Pharmacy Building. The project included a <br />five -story, 73,600'square foot building which included <br />classrooms, labs, faculty offices, a large auditorium, <br />and a vivarium for testing pharmaceutical products. All <br />building features were designed in accordance with the <br />American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
