Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes-Final September 20, 2017 <br /> A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan,seconded by Commissioner Zorc,to <br /> approve the Non-Ad Valorem assessment rates of$68.19 per Residential Waste <br /> Generation Unit($109.10/House), a 6.3% increase from current year; $37.67 per <br /> Commercial Waste Generation Unit, a 6.0% increase from current year; and <br /> Readiness-to-Use Fee of$21.59, a 5.4% increase from current year,for the Solid <br /> Waste Disposal District(SWDD); and to approve Resolution 2017-100, establishing <br /> the assessment rate to be levied upon all real taxable property in Indian River County, <br /> Florida,for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 for the Solid Waste Disposal District.The motion <br /> carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher,Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br /> Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan,seconded by Commissioner Zorc,to <br /> approve the Solid Waste Disposal District(SWDD) Budget of$14,048,177 and <br /> approve Resolution 2017-101, amending the County Budget Officer's estimates of <br /> receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward for Fiscal Year <br /> 2017-2018 and adopting a final budget for the Solid Waste Disposal District. The <br /> motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br /> Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> The Board of Commissioners adjourned the Solid Waste Disposal District meeting and <br /> reconvened as the Board of County Commissioners of the regular meeting. <br /> 7. ADOPTION OF NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT CHARGES <br /> A 17-0985 Announce 2017/2018 proposed charge for each Non-Ad Valorem <br /> Assessment District. Receive comments from the Public. Consider any <br /> Proposed Amendments and Calculate Revised Charge. Make a motion to <br /> adopt a resolution to approve the Non-Ad Valorem Assessment charges. <br /> Recommended Action: Receive comments from the Public.
