Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final October 3, 2017 <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard prior to Item 1=1.13.1.) <br />Indian River State College Mueller Campus Provost Casey Lunceford <br />confirmed the ongoing collaborated funding efforts, and mentioned the need for <br />a high-tech training facility; in addition to increasing the capacity, as Indian <br />River State College offers a growing number of valuable programs to the <br />Region, noting that the welding program has an enrollment wait list. He also <br />remarked on the possibility of adding Marine and Aviation Engine <br />Manufacturing to the list of programs offered. <br />Chairman Flescher recalled the community support he had witnessed, and felt <br />that a facility such as this was needed for the college, as well as the community. <br />A motion was made by Vice Chairman O'Bryan, seconded by Chairman Flescher, <br />to approve Resolution 2017-105, supporting the $14.8 million capital outlay <br />request of Indian River State College for the Treasure Coast Advanced <br />Manufacturing Center.
