RESOLUTION NO. 2017-___117 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AHAC) 2017 <br /> REPORT <br /> WHEREAS,The County,on April 6, 1993,adopted ordinance 93-13,establishing the <br /> county's Local Housing Assistance Program pursuant to section 420.9072, Florida Statutes <br /> and Rule 67-37, F.A.C.; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to revised Section 420.9076(4), F.S., each local government <br /> participating in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program must prepare an <br /> Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Report that recommends to the local governing <br /> body specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br /> (AHAC) held a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section 420.9076(5), F.S., on <br /> November 15, 2017 to review the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee's 2017 Report; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the AHAC at its November 15,2017 public hearing voted to recommend <br /> that the Board of County Commissioners approve the report with some minor changes; and <br /> WHEREAS, a copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee report must be <br /> submitted to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation by December 31, 2017; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners <br /> of Indian River County, Florida THAT: <br /> Section 1. <br /> The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. <br /> Section 2. <br /> The attached Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee 2017 Report is <br /> hereby approved. <br /> F:\Community Development\SHIP\AHAC-Affordable Housing Advisory Committee(AHAC)\AHAC 2017\RESOLUTION for 2017 <br /> AHAC RESOLUTION.docx 1 <br />
