FY 2017 JAG- Local Solicitation <br />Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) <br />REVIEW NARRATIVE <br />Applicants Name: Indian River County <br />Sub -recipient — Indian River County Sheriff's Office <br />Title of Project: FY 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG): Local <br />Solicitation — Active Shooter Protection Project <br />The Indian River County Sheriff's Office made its Fiscal Year 2017 JAG application available <br />for review to the State of Florida Clearinghouse Coordinator, Chris Stahl, on September 5, 2017. <br />Mr. Stahl advised that while the grant is covered by EO 12372, it does not elect to review. <br />Due to the board not having a session since August, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office <br />intends to make its Fiscal year 2017 JAG application available to citizens for comment at the <br />September 19, 2017 Board of County Commission Meeting. At this time, the Indian River <br />County Board of County Commissioners will have the opportunity to review, comment, and <br />approve the use of funds. We anticipate unanimous approval by the board and public. <br />Indian River County Sheriff's Office will make its Fiscal Year 2017 JAG application available to <br />citizens for comment prior presentation on September 19, 2017, at the Indian River County <br />Board of County Commission Meeting. Prior to the meeting all details of the grant application <br />are available via the internet and in physical copy in the meeting agenda packet. All grant <br />documentation and application backup is included in the meeting agenda packet which is <br />published 7 business days prior to the meeting and is available electronically via website <br />(www.ircgov.com), and as a hard copy at either Indian River County Library and at the Board of <br />County Commission Office. <br />P89 <br />
