Ennis, P.E., PMP, County Engineer <br />FROM: William Johnson, P.E., Roadway Production Engine <br />SUBJECT: FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement and Resolution Authorizing <br />the Chairman's Signature for Indian River Boulevard Sidewalk from 37th <br />Street to 53rd Street <br />FM No. 436860-1-58-01 <br />DATE: October 11, 2017 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County has been awarded a $416,720.00 Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) <br />Local Agency Program (LAP) Grant for the construction of a 5 -foot wide concrete sidewalk along <br />the west side of Indian River Boulevard from 37th Street to 53rd Street. The work will include <br />pedestrian signals at Indian River Boulevard/37th Street intersection, Indian River Boulevard/41" <br />Street intersection, and Indian River Boulevard/45'h Street intersection; construct drainage <br />improvements as needed; perform earthwork construction, maintenance of traffic, erosion control <br />and miscellaneous pavement markings as needed. This project is scheduled to'be advertised January <br />2018 and must be completed by December 31, 2019. <br />The FDOT has requested Indian River County execute and deliver to the FDOT the attached <br />Agreement as well as a Resolution authorizing the Board of County Commissioners to execute this <br />Local Agency Program Agreement. <br />FUNDING <br />The federal funds appropriated for this FDOT LAP grant are in the amount of $416,720.00.
