RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 126 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN PARCELS <br /> OF PROPERTY TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION TO BE USED AS RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR <br /> THE STATE ROAD 60/43RD AVENUE INTERSECTION <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation proposes to construct or <br /> improve State Road No. 60 (20th Street), Item/Segment No. 4317591, Section 88060-2526, in <br /> Indian River County, Florida; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain lands now owned by Indian River County, Florida, <br /> be acquired by the State of Florida Department of Transportation; and <br /> WHEREAS, said property is not needed for County purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation has made application to <br /> said County to execute and deliver to the State of Florida Department of Transportation a deed, in <br /> favor of the State of Florida Department of Transportation, conveying all rights, title and interest <br /> that said County has in and to said lands required for transportation purposes, and said request <br /> having been duly considered, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br /> Indian River County, Florida, that the application of the State of Florida Department of <br /> Transportation for a deed, is for transportation purposes which are in the public or community <br /> interest and for public welfare and the land needed for transportation purposes is not needed for <br /> county purposes; that a deed, in favor of the State of Florida Department of Transportation <br /> conveying all right, title and interest of Indian River County, Florida, in and to said lands should <br /> be drawn and executed by this Board of County Commissioners with the consideration being <br /> $1.00. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded <br /> forthwith to the State of Florida Department of Transportation at 3400 W. Commercial Boulevard, <br /> Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33309. <br /> 1 <br />
