<br /> HONORING JOHN D URAN ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM
<br /> t INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 1
<br /> DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES/FIRE RESCUE `,
<br /> t;
<br /> WHEREAS, John Duran retired from Indian River County Fire Rescue effective
<br /> t? December 29, 2017; and 1
<br /> b :WHEREAS, John, Duran began his career on June 16, 1986, as a:part-time South
<br /> County Dispatcher and became a fulltime Firefighter on January 8, 1988. In 1991 he
<br /> to obtained his EMT certification; in 2004 he became a Fire and Life Safety Inspector
<br /> reaching Lieutenant rank in 2005; and in 2015 was promoted to the position of Fire
<br /> 1 and Life Safety Battalion Chief in which position he served until his retirement. )
<br /> WHEREAS, John Duran has served this County and the Public with distinction and
<br /> t,, selflessness. During his thirty-one years of service, he has received letters of i
<br /> commendation and gratitude and he has obtained numerous certifications. He has
<br /> 11 been dedicated and his work has been greatly appreciated by his employer, his co-
<br /> workers and the citizens of our community alike;and
<br /> t.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY %1
<br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board
<br /> i applauds John Duran's efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to
<br /> express their gratitude for the dedicated service he has given to Indian River County
