Brown, County Administrator <br />Mike Smykowski, Director, Office of Management and Budget <br />FROM: Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />SUBJECT: Recommended Selection of Consultant for RFQ 2018007 — Engineering and <br />Biological Support Services for Sector 7 (Porpoise Point) Beach and Dune <br />Renourishment Project <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The current professional coastal engineering consultant contracts will expire on December 31, <br />2017 and have no renewals available. On behalf of the Public Works Department and in <br />accordance with FS 287.055, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) were solicited for professional <br />coastal engineering and biological support services related to the management and renourishment <br />of the Sector 7 project area. As identified in the County Beach Preservation Plan, Sector 7 begins <br />18.3 miles south of the Sebastian Inlet and extends approximately 2.2 miles between the Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Reference (R) Monuments R -97-R-108. These scores were compiled by the committee and an overall ranking <br />P38 <br />
