• Accepted a Proclamation from the County Commission recognizing April 30 through <br />May 6, 2017, as Small Business Week in Indian River County. This is a national <br />initiative through the Small Business Administration, highlighting the positive impact <br />small businesses have in our community. <br />• Partner with the Space Coast EDC in Brevard County to provide local businesses <br />greater opportunities for government contracting. The program is called "GO Online", <br />and access to the website, htti)://www.indianriverbids.orq, is available to local <br />manufacturers and Chamber members at no cost. Proxity-ec, a Florida -based firm that <br />maintains the site, offers a single online resource that contains solicitations and awards <br />from all federal, state and local governmental agencies including the military and sub- <br />contracting opportunities. <br />Small Business Development <br />The EDO partners with the University of Central FL and the FL High Tech Corridor to <br />provide the "FL Virtual Entrepreneur Center" portal as a direct link on the economic <br />development website.
