Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final November 14, 2017 <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />Draft Ordinance <br />Proof of Publication <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold gave a brief explanation of Equivalent <br />Residential Units (ERUs) and specified the reason for the proposed ordinance <br />change. <br />The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, sought and received clarification from <br />Attorney Reingold and members of the Board regarding the difference between <br />ERUs for single-family homes versus villas. <br />There being no other speakers, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Solari, seconded by Vice Chairman <br />O'Bryan, to adopt Ordinance 2017-014, amending Section 201.07 (Equivalent <br />Residential Units) of Part I (In General) of Chapter 201 (County Water and Sewer <br />Services) of the Code of Indian River County, Florida in order to allow <br />single-family residential customers with more than one ERU under certain <br />,law circumstances to reduce the allocation to one ERU; and providing for <br />codification, severability, repeal of conflicting provisions, and an effective date. <br />The motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman O'Bryan, Commissioner Adams, <br />Commissioner Solari, and Commissioner Zorc <br />B.
