Burke — Utilities Services Director <br />FROM: William K. DeBraal — Deputy County Attorney P340 <br />DATE: December 26, 2017 <br />SUBJECT: Acceptance of Easements for Utilities with respect to Sebastian <br />Medical Suites Commercial Subdivision, Located Within the City of <br />Sebastian <br />Property fronting the west side of U.S. Highway 1, within the City of Sebastian, and <br />located immediately south and adjacent to St. Sebastian Catholic Church is being platted <br />as Sebastian Medical Suites Commercial Subdivision. The developers, Health Systems <br />of Indian River, Inc., Sebastian Medical Suites, LLC, and PNC Bank, are dedicating <br />various utility easements located on the property to the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County via the plat and, as such, the Board will need to formally accept <br />those utility easement dedications. A copy of the proposed plat is attached. <br />Staff has been involved both in the coordination and review process with the City of <br />Sebastian with respect to the utility easements, and recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners accept the utility easements. <br />FUNDING: There is no expenditure of County funds with regard to this matter. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />accept the dedication of the various utility easements set forth on the plat of Sebastian <br />Medical Suites Commercial Subdivision, and authorize the Chairman to execute the plat <br />with regard to such acceptance. <br />/nhm <br />Attachment: proposed plat <br />47 <br />F <br />
