Zito, Assistant County Administrator <br />From: David Fleetwood, Parks Division Superintendent <br />Subject: Work Order No. 5, Masteller & Moler, Inc., 58t' Avenue Ballfield Renovation <br />and Expansion Project <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On December 13, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners approved a ranked list of future <br />County Park and Recreation Improvements. The highest ranked project on that list is the 58t` <br />Avenue Ballfield Renovation and Expansion Project, located within the County's Kiwanis Hobart <br />Park at 5350 77�h Street. The project involves upgrades to the existing youth softball and baseball <br />fields as well as construction of the County's first high school dimensioned baseball field. In <br />addition, new restrooms, a concession stand, and ADA compliant access are proposed. <br />On October 24, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved a 3 -month extension to an <br />existing Continuing Contract for Professional Services, approved November 4, 2014, with <br />Masteller & Moler Inc., extending the Contract until February 15, 2018. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 5 is to provide design service for the expansion and renovation of <br />ballfields and associated facilities at the 58"' Avenue Ballfield site, located within Kiwanis Hobart <br />Park. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is budgeted and available in Account: <br />MSTU Fund/Parks/58th Avenue Ballfield 00421072-066510-18001 $66,025.00 <br />Renovation & Expansion <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 5 to Masteller & Moler, Inc. authorizing the <br />professional services as outlined in the Scope of Services of Work Order No. 5, and requests the <br />Board authorize the Chairman to execute Work Order No. 5 on their behalf for a total lump sum <br />amount of $66,025.00 <br />DISTRIBUTION <br />Masteller & Moler, Inc. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Work Order No. 5 <br />40 <br />
