SECTION 00520 - Agreement (Public Works) <br />THIS AGREEMENT is by and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a Political Subdivision of the <br />State of Florida organized and existing under the Laws of the State of Florida, (hereinafter called <br />OWNER) <br />and <br />(hereinafter called CONTRACTOR). <br />OWNER and CONTRACTOR, in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, <br />agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE 1 - WORK <br />1.01 CONTRACTOR shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract <br />Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project involves removal and disposal of the <br />existing roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the existing <br />roof deck and replacement with torch applied two-ply modified bitumen roof <br />membrane, including installation of new sheet metal flashings and accessories to <br />provide a complete, watertight, 20 -year warrantable roof system. In addition to the <br />roof removal and replacement, the following two tasks must be completed: <br />1) Stucco Replacement — Waterblast wall surface; identify delaminated <br />sections of existing cementitious coating and remove down to the existing <br />concrete masonry unit walls. Provide replacement stucco coating to match <br />surrounding wall surfaces and color, including new sealants and <br />accessories to provide a complete, watertight, wall assembly. <br />2) Exterior Joint Sealant Replacement — Remove and replace sealant at all <br />exterior window perimeter joints, window to frame glass joints at North <br />and South Stairwells, horizontal stucco channel screed, exterior door <br />frames and exterior vents. <br />ARTICLE 2 - THE PROJECT <br />2.01 The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a <br />part is generally described as follows: <br />Project Name: IRC HEALTH DEPARTMENT ROOF REPLACEMENT AND <br />EXTERIOR REPAIR PROJECT <br />County Project Number: IRC -1736 <br />Bid Number: 2018013 <br />Project Address: 1900 27th St., Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />ARTICLE 3 — ENGINEER <br />3.01 REI Engineers, Inc. is hereinafter called the ENGINEER and will act as OWNER's <br />representative, assume all duties and responsibilities, and have the rights and authority <br />@BCL@0C0E9E31.1Q <br />00520 - 2 <br />C:\Users\legistarWppData\Local\Temp\BCL Technologies\easyPDF 8\@BCL@OCOE9E38\@BCL@OCOE9E38.doc <br />
