McCoy, AICD <br />Senior Planner, Current Development <br />DATE: October 2, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County, Department of Utility Services! <br />Request for Site Plan and Special Exception Use Approval <br />Extension <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of October 20, 1992. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On September 24, 19911 the Board of County Commissioners approved <br />a special exception request submitted by Kimball Lloyd and <br />Associates, Inc., on behalf of the Indian River County Department <br />Of Utility Services. The special exception use conditional <br />approval, and corresponding major site plan conditional approval, <br />were given to construct an expansion of the North Beach Wastewater <br />Treatment Facility located at 8767 S --R. A -1-A, adjacent to the Sea <br />Oaks development. <br />The original "'expiration date of the approval was September 24, <br />1992. Indian River County Department of Utility Services has now <br />requested that an extension to the special exception and site plan <br />approval expiration date be granted. Due to a shift in priorities, <br />Indian River County Department of Utility Services has been unable <br />to commence construction. This project was originally reviewed and <br />approved under the County's old LDRs. Pursuant to Section <br />23•2(g)(2) of the County's old LDRs, the request to extend the site <br />plan and special exception use approval may be granted since it was <br />submitted prior to the September 24, 1992 expiration date. The <br />Board of County Commissioners may now act upon this request. <br />6 <br />
