Finney, SRA CONSENT AGENDA <br />County Right of Way Agent <br />SUBJECT: Additional Right -of -Way; 66th Avenue, Elhott/Johnson and Bailey Parcels <br />DATE: October 16, 1992 <br />r IRVINZr • r • <br />George Lambeth, President of Golden River Fruit Co., is constructing a new packing house on 66th <br />Avenue between Oslo Road and 5th Street SW. Mr. Lambeth and the county staff wish to cooperate <br />on the paving of a 1/2 mile section of 66th Avenue. Mr. Lambeth owned a portion of the needed <br />right-of-way, and his right-of-way parcels have been acquired. To accomplish this joint project, <br />Indian River County needs an additional 40 feet of right-of-way on 66th Avenue from two additional <br />properties. <br />The County Public Works Department offered to purchase the parcels at $12,500.00 per acre. The <br />following property -owners have agreed to sell and have signed contracts as follows: <br />1) Edward W. Elhott/Johnny H. Johnson, .60 acre R -O -W @ $20,000 /acre $12,000.00 <br />2) Stephen M. & Lucia H. Bailey, .56 acre R -O -W @ $16,500 /acre $ 9,240.00 <br />and existing drainage relocation work <br />Staff requests the Board accept the contracts and direct the Chaiman to execute the contracts on the <br />Board's behalf. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) approved Contracts <br />for Sale and Purchase with E. W. Elliott/J.
