M go <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously <br />approved staff's recommendation to approve the <br />Council on Aging's request for a $9,056 local cash <br />match for the trip equipment grant and authorized <br />staff to do a budget amendment in that amount and <br />bring it back to the Board. <br />SANDRIDGE GOLF CLUB - NEW 18 HOLES - AMENDMENT NO. 5 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/10/92: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Terry B. Thompson, P.E. <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Sandridge Golf Course New 18 <br />Amendment No. 5 <br />DATE: November 10, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. is under contract with Indian <br />River County to provide professional surveying, civil and <br />structural engineering, and additional related miscellaneous <br />services in all phases of the Sandridge Golf Course New 18. <br />The attached amendment provides for upgrading the <br />maintenance barn wash -down and fueling facility. The Indian <br />River County Health Department will no longer allow <br />wash -down areas to be discharged in swales. The amendment <br />also provides for new fuel tanks and soil bins in the <br />maintenance area and closure of all fuel tanks at Sandridge <br />that are to be abandoned. <br />The compensation due the Consultant for the attached <br />amendment is $13,615. This, added to the current contract <br />amount of $91,308 will result in a new contract amount of <br />$104,923. <br />RECOMMINDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to <br />sign the attached Amendment No. 5.
