ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously accepted <br />the $12,380 contract for the purchase of the Quinn <br />right-of-way and authorized the Chairman to execute <br />the Contract for Sale and Purchase, as recommended <br />by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />E. Authorization to Purchase Right -of -Way: 5th Street SW (Rebel <br />Road), Eddy Parcel <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/2/92: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public" Works Director <br />and <br />Roger D. Cain, P.E. Ilt <br />�- <br />County Engineer <br />FROM: Donald G. Finney, SRA 1 <br />County Right of Way Agent CONSENT AGENDA <br />SUBJECT: Right -of -Way; 5th Street SW, A.K.A. Rebel Road, Eddy property <br />DATE: November 2, 1992 <br />Right-of-way is required on 5th Street SW on the east side of the 27th Avenue intersection. The 50' <br />right-of-way partial taking was appraised at $21,196.45 by George Kmetz on July 20, 1992. <br />The County offered to purchase the parcel at the appraised value. The property owner counter - <br />offered to sell at $25,500.00. <br />Staff considers the counter-offer reasonable if no other expenses are incurred for additional <br />appraisals, attorneys fees, court costs or additional time to acquire the right-of-way. <br />RECOMIVIEENDATION AND JND]Wr. <br />Staff requests the Board accept the $25,500.00 contract and direct the Chairman to execute the <br />contract on the Board's behalf. <br />Funding is available in Traffic Impact Fee Account No. 109-214-541-067.58. <br />5 <br />OV 17 1992 BOOK <br />
