G. Cancelration of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated December 18, 1992: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: December 18, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Cancellation of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />For your consideration, a resolution has been prepared for the purpose of <br />cancelling any delinquent or current taxes which may exist on the following <br />property acquired by Indian River County for public purpose: <br />Right -of -Way acquired from GOLDEN RIVER FRUIT CO., a Florida <br />corporation, and fully described in that Quit -Claim Deed recorded in <br />Official .Record Book 954, Page 2470-2471, Public Records of Indian <br />River County, Florida. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolution cancelling certain taxes upon publicly owned lands, and the Clerk <br />to send a certified copy of same to the Tax Collector so that any delinquent <br />or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-1, cancelling certain delinquent taxes <br />upon publicly owned lands, pursuant• to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, as recommended by staff. <br />7 <br />L_ JAN 5 1993 BOOK <br />
