REFERENCES: <br />The county is required by 28 CFR, Part 35, Section 35.105 to prepare a <br />self-evaluation plan to evaluate the county's current services, policies, and <br />programs to identify and correct those which do not comply with this law. All <br />of the policies and programs that are inconsistent with the Act and subsequently <br />identified in this plan must be corrected immediately with remedial action. <br />In preparing this self-evaluation plan, county staff focused on the areas outlined <br />In the ADA Title II Technical Assistance Manual. <br />After the plan was prepared, the Administrator's office, as required by this <br />federal law, conducted a public workshop to receive and take into consideration <br />comments from disabled individuals and organizations and other interested <br />citizens. A brief synopsis of the workshop Is Included in the plan. <br />County staff recommends that the Board approve this self-evaluation plan and <br />authorize staff to make additions, deletions, and clarifications to the plan as the <br />need arises. <br />Administrator Chandler reported that over the past year staff <br />has developed various programs and procedures in order to conform <br />with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). <br />Randy Dowling, Assistant to the County Administrator, was named ADA <br />coordinator, a transition plan was presented to the Board in <br />Biu <br />a � � <br />
