Davis, P. <br />Public Works Director <br />and , <br />Roger D. Cain, P.E. <br />County Engineer ^� <br />FROM: Donald G. Finney, SRA <br />County Right of Way Agent CONSENT AGENDA <br />SUBJECT: 4th Street Bike Path, Right -of --Way Acquisition <br />DATE: January 20, 1993 <br />W. and Mrs. George Yates and Mr. & Mrs. James Beath each have agreed to sell to the County a <br />parcel of land 10 feet by 150 feet along 4th Street just west of 27th Avenue. This right -of --way is <br />needed to complete a section of sidewalk along 4th Street. The property owners have agreed to sell <br />the land for S750 apiece for a total of $1,500. <br />ALUZNATIM AND ANALYSIS <br />This right-of-way is needed to complete a section of a 10' wide sidewalk along the north side of 4th <br />Street. The Board of County Commissioners previously approved purchases, at $750, for each <br />parcel from the adjoining Blair and Liscomb parcels in August of 1992. The alternatives are as <br />follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the right -of --way acquisition at a cost of $1,500. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Not approve the purchase and not proceed with the sidewalk completion. <br />Alternative 'No. 1 is recommended. Funding to be from Secondary Road Trust Fund ($75,000 <br />budgeted in FY 92/93 budget). <br />16 <br />21993 Boos 88 PA;z GN <br />
