CHASTA <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASS *LITY <br />PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: WOOD HOLLOW (32ND COURT AND 32ND AVENUE, SW) <br />WATER SERVICE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -92 -37 -DS <br />RESOLUTION III - PUBLIC HEARING <br />.�80 <br />On January 12, 1993, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved Resolution I (93-12) and Resolution II <br />(93-13). Resolution I contained the preliminary assessment roll <br />describingthe project and cost. Resolution II set the date of the <br />public hearing for the subject project. Property owners have been <br />notified of the public hearing by certified mail. Resolution I <br />(93-12) was published in the Vero Beach PRESS JOURNAL on January 18, <br />1993 (see attached agenda item and minutes of the above meeting). <br />AN_ <br />Design of the water distribution system is complete. An <br />informational meeting was held with the property owners on January <br />19, 1993. The total estimated cost to be assessed is $81,613.94. <br />The cost per square foot is $0.113058. Four of the 32 lots in this <br />subdivision are on 5th Street, SW and are already on County water. <br />Approval of the attached Resolution III will confirm and approve the <br />preliminary assessment. <br />The attached map displays the area to benefit from the assessment <br />project. This project is to be paid through the assessment of <br />property owners along the proposed water line route. In the <br />interim, financing will be through the use of impact fee funds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve Resolution III which affirms <br />the preliminary assessment on the subject project. <br />18 <br />FES 2 1993 ,.BOOK , -88 PAGE 6�6 <br />
