Wednesday, February 3, 1993 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, February 3, <br />1993, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Richard N. Bird, Chairman; <br />Fran B. Adams; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Kenneth R. Macht. Vice <br />Chairman John Tippin was in Stuart, Florida on County business. <br />Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />APPEAL OF TERMINATION - JON HALLOUIST <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/29/93: <br />The County Administrator has prepared substantial background material <br />on the employee's appeal; however, because the Board is sitting as a <br />quasi-judicial body, I have advised the Administrator not to show the <br />material to the Board until the hearing unless the opposing side <br />stipulates to its earlier admission (Mr. Hallquist's attorney has not yet <br />agreed to this) . <br />At the hearing objections may be made by the opposing side and the <br />'County staff will make the argument for introduction of whatever <br />evidence they wish. <br />CPV/lk <br />cc: James E.
