r- MAR 2 3 1993 <br />BOOK 89 PAGE 100 <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />CELEBRATING APRIL, 1993• <br />AS FAIR HOUSING MONTH <br />WHEREAS, the Vero Beach -Indian River Board of Realtors has <br />hereby petitioned that April, 1993 be designated as Fair Housing <br />Month; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the goal of the Vero Beach -Indian River <br />Board of Realtors to promote the theme for the month of April, <br />1993 of "Fair Housing Opens Doors"; and <br />WHEREAS, the federal fair housing laws prohibit <br />discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, <br />familial status or national origin and all people have the right <br />to live wherever they choose to live; and <br />WHEREAS, the Vero Beach -Indian River Board of Realtors is <br />committed to educating their members, as well as buyers and <br />sellers on how to fully comply with fair housing laws. A <br />person's ability to rent or own should be limited only by how <br />much he or she can afford. "Fair Housing" means equal access. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board <br />hereby declares April, 1993 to be <br />FAIR HOUSING MONTH <br />in Indian River County.
