APR m 6 1993 BOOK 89 PvN 269 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-75, increasing the limit of <br />administrative costs from the state housing <br />initiatives partnership (SHIP) program for the <br />Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Program <br />(IRCLHAProgram), as recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93= 75 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, INCREASING THE LIMIT OF <br />ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS FROM THE STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES <br />PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM FOR THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE_,PROGRAM (IRCLHAProgram) <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 420, Florida Statutes, describes the State <br />Housing Incentive Partnership (SHIP) Program, which has been <br />established to increase the amount of affordable housing within the <br />State of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the County has approved Ordinance Number 93-13 <br />establishing the Local Housing Assistance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the County has studied its current staff and funding <br />sources; and <br />WHEREAS, consequently, it has been determined that use of five <br />percent (5%) of available SHIP funds will be insufficient to pay <br />the necessary costs of administering the SHIP program; and <br />WHEREAS, it has also been determined that use of ten percent <br />(10%) of available SHIP funds will be adequate at this time to <br />properly administer the SHIP program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, in regular session <br />duly assembled, that up to ten percent (10%) of available SHIP <br />funds may be used to pay the costs of administration of the SHIP <br />program. <br />72 <br />
