J. Cancellation of outstanding Taxes on Property Purchased for <br />County Use <br />The Board reviewed memo from Lea R. Keller, CLO, County Attorney's Office <br />DATE: April 5, 1993 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAPES <br />PROPERTY PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County has recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to <br />Section 196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is <br />allowed to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the <br />property acquired for public purposes. Such cancellation must be done <br />by resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the <br />Tax Collector. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached resolutions cancelling taxes upon lands the County recently <br />acquired. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 93-77, Resolution 93-78, and Resolution <br />93-79, cancelling certain delinquent taxes upon <br />publicly -owned lands, as recommended by staff. <br />13 <br />L_ APR 13 1993 Boa 89 PAUE,306 <br />
