APR 27 <br />BOOK <br />Public Works Director Jim Davis advised that staff is planning <br />on attending a meeting next week in Indialantic to oppose the <br />SJRWMD requirements because they are delaying some of our petition <br />paving projects. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the _Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht being absent) authorized staff to <br />vigorously oppose additional stormwater treatment <br />requirements. <br />FINAL RELEASE OF RETAINAGE - ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD PHASE IV, GLACE AND RADCLIFFE, INC. <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/12/93: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E.,, <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Terry B. Thompson, P.E. <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Final Release of Retainage <br />Engineering Services for Indian River Boulevard, <br />PhaseV <br />I Glace <br />& Radcliffe, Inc. <br />DATE: April 12, 1993 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Glace & Radcliffe has completed the engineering design of Indian <br />River Boulevard, Phase IV. On Feb. 6, 1990, the Board reduced the <br />retainage from 10% of the contract amount, $28,582.50,_ to $15,000. <br />On June 6, 1990, the Board reduced the retainage to $5,000. Glace <br />& Radcliffe is requesting that the County release the $5,000 that <br />is currently being retained. <br />Construction of 41st Street and 45th Street from US 1 to Indian <br />River Boulevard was not included in the scope of work that was <br />awarded to Dickerson, Florida on April 6, 1993 because the right of <br />way has not been acquired. Glace & Radcliffe completed design on <br />these two east/west connectors as part of the Phase IV design, but <br />additional engineering services may be required for 41st Street and <br />45th Street after the right-of-way has been acquired. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends final release of retainage in the amount of $5,000 <br />be made to Glace and Radcliffe, Inc. The final pay request <br />includes $387 for printing and reproduction for a total amount due <br />of $5,387. Funding is from 309-215-541-033.13 - Indian River <br />Boulevard North. <br />44 <br />
