(PSI)/JAMMAL <br />DIVISION of West Palm Beach, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />ENGINEERING FIRM SELECTION - EXPANSION OF WEST REGIONAL WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/11/93: <br />DATE: APRIL 19, 1993 <br />TO: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: TERRANCE G. PINTO <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILI R ES <br />STAFFED AND <br />PREPARED BY: WILLIAM F. N <br />CAPITAL P NGINEER <br />DEPARTMEN& ILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: ENGINEERING FIRM SELECTION <br />RFP FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE WEST REGIONAL WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT TO 2 MGD <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On March 17, 1993, the Department of Utility Services received 11 <br />responses to the Request for Proposal to provide professional <br />engineering services relative to the above -referenced project. The <br />selection committee reviewed the 11 responses and selected 4 firms <br />to be interviewed. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />On April 14, 1993, the selection committee interviewed the 4 firms. <br />As a result of the interviews, the firms were ranked as follows: <br />1. Malcolm Pirnie/H. F. Lenz <br />2. Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. <br />3. CH2M Hill <br />4. Masteller & Moler, Inc. <br />The Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners authorize the Department of Utility Services to <br />conduct negotiations and proceed with an agreement with the <br />first -choice firm of Malcolm Pirnie/H. F. Lenz, based upon the <br />outcome of the negotiations. The Department further requests <br />approval to proceed with negotiations with the subsequently -ranked <br />firms if negotiations with the first firm fail. - <br />M <br />t <br />
