I q 7701 <br />We, the Constituents of the Abundant Life Apostolia Church/The Pentecostals of <br />Vero Beach, are requesting a Meeting with Committee members of the County <br />Commissioners Office. at this time, we request to be placed on ,your nett <br />upcoming Agenda to bring before you a very deep, sincere and much needed <br />concern regarding our Community and great City of Vero Beach. <br />After hearing our intense concerns, we would greatly appreciate your support <br />and if permitted, your financial help. He distributed information <br />packets to the Board concerning a proposed neighborhood prayer <br />watch, and asked the Board for moral support, funding, and <br />permission to place posters or signs throughout the community. He <br />stressed that the neighborhood prayer watch would be open to all <br />denominations. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that the Board can give Reverend <br />Smith moral support, but the First Amendment makes it illegal to <br />use public property or funds to advance a private religious cause. <br />Commissioner Adams suggested preparing a proclamation <br />supporting Reverend Smith's effort. <br />41 <br />IMIAY 111993 som 89 Ph X96 <br />
